tHE INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION Period was a period of major industrialization that took place during the late 1700s and early 1800s. this time period saw the mechanization of agliculture and textile

manufacturing and a revolution in power, including steam ships and railroads, that effected social, cultural and economic condition.

Origin of Industrial Revolution

The Industrial Revolution began in Great britain in most of the important technological innovations were British. What pushes industrial Revolution was the legal and cultural foundations, an entrepreneual spirit and consumer revolution in great britain.

Important Technological Development During The Industrial Revolution.

The start of the Industrial Revolution is linked to a small number of inventions beginning in the second half of the 18th century. By the 1830s the following were the important technologies.

Industrial Revolution and its Impact to the enviroment.

1. Air Pollution Problems. Levels of air pollution rose during the industrial Revolution, sparkling the first modern enviromental laws to be passed in the mid-19th.

2. Water Pollution. The Gas Industry which began in British cities in 1800 produced highly toxic effluent that was dumped into sewers and rivers

Industrial Revolution and its Impact in Society

The Following were the major impact of the industrial Revolution to society

1. Increased Literacy - The application of steam power to the insdustrial processes of printing supported to massive expansion of newspaper and popular book publishing, which reinforced high literacy which result to many people patricipating in politics and government.

2. Increased Life expectancy - During industrial revolution, the life expectancy of children increased dramatically . This is because of availability of new medical facilities which can early diagnose diseases and drugs which help to cure them. Thus morality in General decreases.

3. Massive Urbanization - Industrial Revolution led to massive contruction of roads, bridges and housing projects which give a rise to new great cities, first in Europe and then in other regions, as new opportunities brought huge numbers of migrants from rural communities into urban areas
