CONCLUSION

CONCLUSION

  • Idea: 9/10 - blockchain and location based Wowcher/Groupon with great invite system - I can see it becoming mainstream
  • Documentation: 9/10 - very good usage of different files and nice looking website
  • Product: 7/10 - alpha available, nice activity on Github
  • Team: 6/10 - decent experience but I feel it's a bit small considering the crazy scope of the project
  • ICO conditions: 5/10 - cap isn't too bad and they give away a lot of tokens but why second ICO? and the division into two ICOs just makes it confusing for no reason

VERDICT

Verdict: 7.2/10

Nau is an interesing project with huge potential but it's difficult to estimate if it will be a good investment.

Short term: Nau isn't very popular currently so I feel they will struggle to raise significant amount. Project has however a huge potential and it might increase in popularity once it's listed on bigger exchange. There might be potential for a good investment if they don't raise too much money.

Verdict: potentially buy if they don't raise too much?

Long term: Busy development indicates that the team is dedicated. I would consider investing before the beta is released.

Verdict: maybe get some tokens before the beta is released, not neccessairly in the ICO

VERDICT

Good, bad and risks

  • The good:
  • website and documentation top notch
  • idea is cool and I can see it becoming mainstream
  • development is very busy

  • The bad:
  • potential second ICO in the future
  • quite high market valuation
  • team a bit small considering the size of the project

  • Risks:
  • project is ambitious and I feel the team must become much bigger to push it forward
  • the valuation of the project feels a bit too high based on what have been achieved so far

Idea

IDEA

  • NAU is the platform that directly connects customers and retailers using the blockchain technology.

  • Users use the mobile application to get access to special offers in the area based on the users location.

  • Users redeem the offer by providing the code to the seller and seller entering the code within the app.

  • There is also a referral system that encourages people to share the app for benefits

  • The token is used as a fuel for the entire platform

  • Verdict: Quite similar to Voucher or Groupon but seems to be more interactive and fairly unique - I quite like it

9/10

DOCUMENTATION

DOCS

  • Website looks really nice - has a clean and professional look and is not too flashy.

  • All of the social media is there and team tries to engage with the community (even though community is small).

  • Whitepaper is 32 pages and goes into details about the project, there is also presentation and three pagers with the most important information.

  • Both FAQ and roadmap are detailed.

  • Team description is detailed, LinkedIn profiles are there as well.

  • Verdict: Really good documentation - I really love the usage of three different documents.

EXISTING PRODUCT

  • There is a working alpha version that has been in development since July

  • Beta version will be released in December on both iOS and Android

  • Github available with a decent amount of activity: https://github.com/nau-dev

  • Development roadmap is available as well

  • Verdict: Decent amount of activity on Github and alpha product are there

How will it work?

MORE DETAILS

  • Token usage:
  • Coffee shop joins NAU and creates an offer (free cupcake with coffe)
  • John invites Kate to join NAU and Kate joins and wants the cupcake
  • Coffee shop pays 95% in NAU tokens to John and 5% to NAU

This means:

  • Coffee shop makes a sale and acquires a customer
  • John receives tokens as a reward for inviting Kate
  • Kate enjoys a free cupcake and coffee

Markets and competition

  • The markets chosen for the initial release are:
  • Germany
  • Russia
  • Colombia
  • Ukraine
  • Philippines

The main competition will be Groupon and Wowcher but NAU is quite clever through the usage of user location, invites and should be able to keep costs lower due to blockchain.

Markets and competition

TEAM

TEAM

  • team based internationally
  • 4 core team members, 3 advisors, 9 developers
  • Core team has some nice experience with blockchain and advertisment/marketing industries including Groupon and some less known (mostly Russian) companies
  • Advisors sales and blockchain related
  • Developers work for OmnySynapse which has been around for over 2 years

  • Twitter : https://twitter.com/nau_io
  • LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/18254610/
  • Medium: https://medium.com/@NAU_IO
  • ICO website: https://tokensale.nau.io/

  • Verdict: Decent team that has experience needed but I feel that it should be bigger and they also seems to outsource development

6/10

ICO

ICO

  • presale ongoing
  • ICO divided into rounds
  • Main sale -> November 10th - December 17th
  • accepted tokens ETH/BTC/LTC - looking to raise $5 million

  • MAXIMUM CROWDSALE CAP: $20 Million

  • PREDICTED MARKET CAP (if all tokens sold): around $30 million
  • TOTAL MARKET CAP WITH UNUSED TOKENS (if all tokens sold): around $63 million

  • Verdict: The ICO isn't too greedy but I don't know why they split it into two rounds - simple usage of bonuses would have been better also not a fan of the future ICO since it might devalue tokens

5/10

Token distribution

  • 1.285 billion tokens in total
  • 78% for sale (1 billion):
  • 200 million presales
  • 400 million main sale
  • 400 million for future sale

  • 18.5% team (slowly becoming available from the 7th month up to 30th month
  • 3.5% advisors (locked for 6 months), advertisers and users promotion funds and bounties

  • Sale divided into two: 0.04$ and 0.06$ per token - earlier contribution getting better price
  • Unsold tokens burned
