Math

World

Mathematics isn't about numbers, equations, computions, or algorithms: it is about understanding

~ William Paul Thurston

Common equations

Decimals are tricky when it comes to multiplying and dividing, but some say adding and subtracting is fun. All you have to do is line up the decimal points and viola! do normal subtraction or addition.

Just look at how easy it is!

Decimals

Practice :D

Here! Try some of these!

( remember to check the symbols :D)

3.51+7.63 8.77-4.26

Try these!

More but different.

Multiplication

Multiplication might seem hard but it's the easiest thing in the world! All you do if multiply normally and change the location of the decimal point like this.

(btw here are the answers for the previous questions:11.14 and 4.51)

Multiplying?

Dividing

Dividing can be easy or dfficult depending on how good you are at normal dividing. Just move the decimal point over in the divisor until it is a whole number and do the same amount of movements to the dividend. Then divide normal.

( also bring up the decimal point.)

Fractions: Basics

Adding and subtracting are similar, while dividing and multiplying are similar.

Multiplying and Dividing

To multiply all you have to do is line them up horizontally and multiply horizontally. Dividing is the same thing except you swap the second fraction.

More?

Percents are really easy to handle, if you know a trick. To find a percentage of a number , put the percentage as a fraction next to the number. Then put the other number as the denominator( only if you are finding a percent of a number). Now, mutliply the two remaining numbers that are diagonal to each other and divide it by the last number her have. Viola! You found the percent! :D (The following subtopic will show you what i mean.)
