~ANIMALS~

Beautiful Creatures with amazing wits!

Pigeons!

OK fine! There not the prettiest animal in the world, but their still very intelligent!

Experiment

  • Bought 10 pigeons
  • Took Good care of them in cages for 3 weeks

Experiment

  • Let 2 out on the 4th week
  • Stayed out for two days

What do you think happened?

Results

They Came Back!

Would YOU call this intelligence or just instinct?

Results

  • Must have some intelligence in their tiny brains
  • How could they do this if already flown out of sight?

Elephants!

Larger!

  • Elephants are much larger
  • Elephant vs Pigeon brain

Larger

If a pigeon can do that much with that tiny brain, think about how much elephants could do with their giant ones!

COMPARISON

Comparison

Think about this!

Communication

They have to come up with the technique some how, THEN, once they come up with it, they have to share it to others so everyone can use it, but how are they supposed to do that is they don't have a language to tell them with!?!?

2 Main Categories:

  • verbal
  • Non - verbal

Human Quality

If an elephant is naturally equipped with that human quality and so many more, think about what they could do if (peacefully) trained!

Elephants have over 25 different sounds and gestures they use to communicate with!

Special Abilities

Special abilities

  • Elephants are VERY special creatures!
  • They are able to be trained to and just naturally do some amazing things!
  • Many resemble and even match humans!
  • One amazing talent is, they are able to be trained to paint!
  • The 1st one was an elephant named Suda!

Suda the Painting Elephant!

What can we learn?

Lesson #1

This is just one more of the many examples of the lovely human - like qualities elephants posses.

Elephants (as shown here) work together and use teamwork to accomplish goals and protect each other

Most people would simply say, "Nice work" or, "Well done". Pretty much no one would consider that intelligence.

Mothering

The thing is, with elephants, it doesn't matter what you do, you will still be loved by them the same.

  • Definitely a human quality
  • Don't we do this all the time?
  • What can we take from this?

Why don't we always do that? If we share so many qualities, why don;t we share things like that, that make society an over all better place?! We can definitely learn from that!

Now, if we can learn from that think about how much more we could learn from them!

Mothering

  • A group of elephants is called a parade
  • In the wild, parades face danger almost everyday!
  • They Always stick together and have each other's backs!
  • When this happens, they huddle around babies and helpless
  • Elephants will almost never turn on each

other and when they do, the others have

their backs!

Conclusion

Elephants posses MANY human-like qualities that resemble and even match what we humans are able to do!

Some of which consist of...

  • Communication
  • Special talents
  • Mothering abilities

What do You think?

All of which, if used correctly can help society greatly in some form.

Would You call all the things you just heard that elephants can do, instinct or intelligence?

Hopefully at this point it has become more clear to you about what the answer is by now, but I'll let you decide on that one.
