Organs and tissues are important to the proper functioning of the immune system include the thymus and bone marrow, lymph nodes and vessels, spleen, and skin.Your lymphatic system, part of your immune system, has many functions. They include protecting your body from illness-causing invaders, maintaining body fluid levels, absorbing digestive tract fats and removing cellular waste. Blockages, diseases or infections can affect your lymphatic system's function.
Lymphatic/ immune system has the most important role, it doesn't allow foreign invaders - such as bacteria, fungi, parasites, and viruses- into your body. They release white blood cells into your body to kill them.
Protects your body against foreign invaders: The lymphatic system is part of the immune system. It produces and releases lymphocytes (white blood cells). The immune system mostly helps kids, then adults. Kids have stronger immune system then adults. It is the least understood and most undervalued of all the body systems, yet if it stopped working we would die within 24-48 hours.
The lymphatic system clears away infection and keeps your body fluids in balance. Lymphoma is cancer that begins in infection-fighting cells of the immune system, called lymphocytes. Other lymphatic system problems can include infections, blockage, and cancer.
