Who was Harriet Tubman?

Harriet Tubman is most well known for being the conductor on the underground railroad. She was born in 1820? She later died in March 10, 1913 due to Pneumonia.

Childhood/Early life

When Harriet Tubman was at the age of 5 she was hired to take care of an infant. When Miss Susan heard the infant cry Miss Susan would whip Harriet Tubman. Later in Harriet Tubman's life she described this period of her life as being severely neglected.

Harriet's father taught her a knowledge of the outdoors that later helped her in her rescue missions.
