-It can test the 555 timer whether it is faulty or not before use it in other circuits.
- Very easy to use.
-User can see the testing result rapidly.
DISADVANTAGES
-Need high volatage. Power supply is needed for make it work.
-It cannot be used to test other 8 leg IC.
