"Mean""Median" And "Mode"

“Mean” or sometimes referred to as “arithmetic Mean” usually means a set of numbers added together divided by the amount of numbers you have. In other words the sum divided by the amount. (Average)

"Median" usually means the middle number.

Mode means the most common number you see in the set of numbers. (repeating numbers)

"Mean" "Median" And.....

"Mode"

Word Problem

I have scored 12,8,6,2,4,10 goals for my last 6 soccer games . Find the arithmetic mean of this equation.

My "Mean" Word Problem

Example

Here are some random examples....

Explanation On How To solve

Mean:

My Example Explained:

12+8+6+2+4+10= 42

6 6

divide and you get......

7!!

Since there is 2 middle numbers you find the number in between them which in this case is 7

Median:

2,4,6,8,10,12

Mode: there is no mode in this set of numbers because there is no repeating numbers

Weather forecast

The Florida highs starting this Saturday are 90,79,80,84,85,84,86,87, 87, and 88. I need to find the Mean Median an Mode.

divide and you get......

85!

Mean: 90,79,80,84,85,84,86,87,87, 88= 850

10 10

Weather Forecast

Median: 79,80,84,84,85,86,87,87,88,90

There are 2 medium numbers again so I had to go in between the middle and the median number is......

85.5

Mode: there are 2 mode numbers (repeating numbers)...

84&87
