Main Charters

White Fang: White Fang is the main charter of the book. He was born in the wild of Alaska. His mom was half wolf and half dog. On the other hand, his dad was full wolf and only had one eye. He had a very harsh life from the start. He had three masters in his life. The first master was unkind but found White Fang useful on adventures. His second master was very cruel and turned White Fang into a vicious beast. He displayed the vicious wolf for show to make money. Finally, the last and kindest Master turned him into a pet and treated him like a part of his family. Even though his life was rough in the end he had a good family.

Weedan Scott: Weedan Scott is White Fang third master. He rescues White Fang from certain death,and and nurses him to health. He is kind, trusting and the nicest Master to White Fang. Weedan Scoot owns land in both California and Alaska. He takes White Fang from Alaska to California to meet his family. He trust White Fang to protect his family and takes care of him like a pet. He is a person with a heart to help every animal in need.

Summary of White Fang

Today I will be telling you about my book White Fang. White fang was born in the wild of Alaska during a time of famine. He was the only one to survive his litter. White Fang and his mother went to live with the Native Indians, soon White Fang became seperated him from his mother. The book follows White Fang on his adventures from the time he was born until he gets old.He has many adventures and some are good and enjoyable for White Fang. Others are not good and are difficult for him. Once he got to be a lead dog for his sled team and he carried his people and supplies to safety. Another time he was forced to fight other dogs to stay alive. A adventure later in his life he moved with Weeden Scott to California. In California he meets Weeden Scott's family and becomes a pet. This was unusual because must wolves don't live in a city as a family pet.

Setting: Time and Place

The setting is Alaska in woods,Fort Gipson Alaska and California. The story of White Fang takes place between 1890 -1899.

Theme

The overall messeage of this book is that you can be what ever you want to be in the end. The idea of book is that kindness can turn the most vicious beast into a kind and caring dog.I knew this was theme beacuse I read and saw the hints which were on the back cover. ''Will White Fang ever know the kindness of a gentle master or will he die a fierce killer?''

Recommendation

I recommend this book to anyone who likes books about the Alaskan frontier,wolves,dog or adventures. If you like reading about books with adventure White Fang is a book for you. White Fang starts his live in wild Alaska as a wolf and ends more like a family pet in sunny California. He has many adventures in between to learn about. So Check out White Fang from the Library.
