Memorable Moment-AVID

Background

During the Pandemic I was looking for a new girls basketball team. Since there was not a lot of girls basketball teams it took a while to find one because some basketball coaches didn't want to take the chance to get covid and were in lockdown for a little while. My parents looked all over for a girls basketball team. They finally found one and it was in Long Beach. The team was called the Long Beach Her-I-Canes.

Why it took Place

When I was 5 years old I had tried out basketball for the first time and I really liked. Like I just felt like this was my talent. The teams I had went to when I was younger was Norwalk, MONSTARS, Cerritos recreational league, and Pete Davis basketball. When I was playing with Pete Davis there was this other team that Pete Davis knew so he told me to go play for them which was called the Long Beach Nikos. After I played with the Nikos for some time the Coach (Demetrius) was making an all girls team and he wanted to recuit me to go play on his team called the Long Beach Her-I-Canes.

Feelings or Thoughts about the situation

During the time I was playing with the hericanes i felt happy because I was able to be good at something and I had proven myself to the coach that I can Play basketball. I don't play with the Her-I-Canes anymore but now I play with a team called Heat Check which has made me better at basketball and ive had opputinities to go play in Las Vegas and in a couple of months I'm going to go play in Tennessee.

How it affected me

Playing with the Her-I-Canes has impacted a lot by me being able to go to an Nba players basketball camp to winning a lot of championships with the Her-I-Canes.
