STATUS OF 2022 RECOGNITION APPLICATION
OVERVIEW OF RECOGNITION PROCESS
There are four parts in the application form, to be submitted in two parts.
- Part A (the four criteria relating to eligibility) HAS BEEN SUBMITTED.
- Parts B, C and D of the same application form needs to filled & submitted eight weeks prior to the WFME visit.

Recognition Process followed in 2019
In 2019, the eigibility was attained however, due to a disparity between submitted & practiced Accreditation standards, the WFME visit was cancelled and the regulator was asked to re-submit the application.

1.Provide strategic directions and guidelines for completion and submission of application forms for the WFME recognition process.
2.Ensure development of guiding policies, procedures, templates based on PMC Accreditation standards in line with WFME standards
3.Provide leadership and oversight in planning and implementation of trainings, seminars & workshops, ensuring readiness of medical institutions for WFME Accreditation.
4.Oversee inspections of medical institutions.
5.Conduct fortnightly meetings to gather feedback from internal task force and if & when required.

- 1. To ensure all stakeholders are on board.
- 2. International Speakers shall be invited to inform the stakeholders of the significance & implication of WFME accreditation
- 3. Sharing the Timeline and Accreditation plan by PMC
- 4. Familiarity with the accreditation processes in compliance with the Accreditation Standards
- Nomination of Focal Persons of Universities as trainers
- Capacity building of Colleges by the Trainers
- Categorization Of Colleges into Categories:

- Spot inspection of Red Category Colleges by the trainers

Accreditation Standards 2019 to be adopted as revised standards or amendments
All changes to be discussed with the WFME officials and a way forward to be discussed
