Adaptation of Rainforest Plants

-The plant has multiple petals that our curved inwards in the center of the petal. That helps water to be collected. However part of the petal that are surrounding the center is outwards so water can fall down of it.

-The texture of the petal is smooth because water needs to fall of the plant otherwise mold and fungus will occur. However there is enough water collected so the plant has enough water to grow.

Thick Stems

-The hook shaped leaves allow water to be collected. The plant is found on trees so it doesn'y have trouble getting water. The hook shaped leaves also the leaves of the plant alos help protect the vine from the suns harsh radiations.

-The thick stems help provide a stable place for the leaves to hang on. According to many resources the plant was made for bats to pollinate on so the stem is strong enough to support the bat.

- The arrangement of the leaves helsp maximize the amount of sun they get which makes photosynthissi really quick and efficient.

-The apperance of spikes on the plant is like a threat to insects that come near it. The plant is mostly approached by herbivores but as soon as they come near it they get apprehensive and back down. The spikes have small hooks on them.

- The cup shaped petals on the plant help gather water so the plant can grown. The petals on the plant go from the top which look like a rose to the bottom where the cup shaped petals increase. By the cup petals i thing this tells us that this plant needs a lot of water to survive.

- Inside the petals at the top of the plant there are spikes present so if any animal of insect comes near, it will be able to defend itself. The only reason most insects will be attracted is because the bright ombre of colours.

- The structre of the leaf on the plant goes inwards which allows water to flow down into the center of the. The texture of the leafs are also smooth so water can smoothley go down with geting stuck in rough areas of the plant.

- The petals are also pointy so if any isects or animal comes near it they can be scared off because of how sharp it is. However there is a petal at the bottom of the petals that facing inwards, this petal is sheathing the plant so in a way it's supporting the plant. This is the only petal that animals and insects are found sitting on without being alarmed.

-The plant is found high on trees so when it rains it can be the first one to gather the water. The plant can grow up to 30 feet.
