Throughout John F. Kennedy's presidency, he often had connections and crises related to the government. Additionally, the Cuban's were under leadership of Fidel Castro, a Communist dictator. Having Communism so close to American soil was a great threat that JFK was greatly aware of.
1) The Cuban Missile Crisis occurred when Cuba became in possession of a nuclear weapon that was easily able to be aimed toward Miama, FL.
2) President Kennedy set up a naval blockade, deffering any shipments from the USSR to Cuba.
3) This event was the closest thing the world has ever come to a global, nuclear war.

2) He went to Law School and became the chair of the Ortodoxo's party.
3) Castro was a revolutionary leader against Batista.
4) He became the leader of Cuba in 1959, bringing Communism to the Western Hemisphere.
There is no official evidence that shows connections of President Kennedy to the Mob, but there are conspiricies as to why the Mob could have been a part of the assassination.
1) There are ideas that the Mob was connected to the murder because of connections to the conspiricies to assassinate Fidel Castro.
2) Another motive for the mob wanting to kill President Kennedy was his brother, Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, to investigate and eradicate organized crime.
3) There were connections to the Kennedy's aand illegal gambling as well.
In 1961, John F. Kennedy was sworn in as President of the United States of America. The United States were in a trying time with the end of the Cold War and the unrest within the nation in itself. There was unrest in civil liberties and the world was in unrest because there was a global standoff with nuclear weapons.

2) In the '50s, Martin Luther King Jr. and Rosa Parks led marches, movements, and boycotts for equality for BIPOC.
3) President Kennedy was leading the country when Freedom Rides were occurring, leading to the desegregation of bus terminals.
1) The FBI and CIA were influential in the presidency, they assisted in the Bay of Pigs invasions and the investigation of other governmental organizations.
2) The organizations were also conducting the investigation into the assassination of President Kennedy, called the Warren Commission.
The Warren Commission was created by President Lyndon B. Johnson in order to investigate the assassination of President Kennedy and the shooting of Lee Harvey Oswald two days later by Jack Ruby.
Throughout JFK's presidency, the leader of the Soviet Government was Nikita Khrushchev. Khrushchev led a communist dictatorship, which threatened the United States government because communism was a threat to the free world.

3) Although the nation was fairly protected, the KGB was used to increase security.
LEE HARVEY OSWALD
On November 22, 1963, JFK was assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald. Oswald shot two bullets at the president, one injuring him and the other delivering the fatal shot.
Oswald was arrested soon after the shooting. It was speculated that Oswald had been working with and had affiliations to the KGB. He was killed who days later by Jack Ruby in the basement of the Dallas police station.
Main "security" for Soviet Union from 1954-1991
1) The KGB was formed to be the protection of the communist state.
2) Communism was a threat to all democracy, like that of the United States.
3) The KGB was prominent with cases of espionage and other crimes.
