Beginning
In the beginning of the book, Molly was born inside of a box on the side of the road with her siblings. Someone took her in and gave her to an amazing girl named CJ, but CJ's mom hated dogs so CJ hid Molly in the basement. For the first few weeks, CJ stayed home with the dog. CJ missed so much school that she almost had to go to court. CJ's mom found Molly and wanted to get rid of her. CJ then threatened to tell the judge Gloria, her mom, kept her from going to school so Gloria let her keep Molly.
Middle
Middle
In the middle, CJ has to go to an extra art class because of her missed school days. There she meets a kid named Shane. One night Shane says the art teacher has his phone and goes in the teacher's desk when the art teacher is gone. Shane takes the teacher's phone and CJ gets yelled at for letting him in the desk after hours. CJ ends up having to do community service at a cancer sniffing dog facility. There Molly learns how to sniff cancer.

End
At the art show, Molly sniffed cancer on the art teacher and they stopped it before it got worse. Gloria got mad at CJ for telling the art teacher while they were talking. Gloria's boyfriend took CJ by the arm and yanked her outside. Then Molly bit him for hurting CJ and he ran away. Gloria called Molly a bad dog and tried to get rid of her but CJ stopped her by running away. In the end, Gloria finally lets Molly stay.
