-I looked into the most popular, most promising, and most common areas of law

-I could never cover all areas of law

-Decided to group my favorites by personality

-The majority of these practices need either a JD or LLM degree

-So many branches of law that focus on political, social, or environmental reformation

-If you have a passion for a certain issue or group or you even just want to make a difference in your lifetime, this is for you.

- protection and expansion of civil liberties (race, disability, constitutional)

-Fight against discrimination, harassment, or other forms of mistreatment in court.

-Can be a prosecutor or a defence attourney

-spend most of your time in court

-Work through the government or private entities

-Lawyers that work to protect the environment

-Regulate natural resources and help manage treaties and protective measures

-If you're someone who fairs well with paperwork, nitty gritty details, or even don't do well with public speaking these may work

-All of these are similar in the sense that they aren't high stakes, however involve a lot of "office work" and are sometimes called "transactional"

-Business law (“commercial or corporate” law) is helping out a specific business with their affairs including many smaller areas of law

-Can look one of two ways: Small business or corporate (established company) law

-Copyright - ensures works of art are protected (books, music, movies)

-Trademark - creates possesion of brand names and trademarks/logos

-Patent - Governs inventions and discoveries

-"Transactional" work which includes negotiating and drafting doccuments.

-Mock trial style law is not for everyone

-There is something for everyone - any interests, talents, even if you have a dream that you’re unable to accomplish there is probably a legal aspect to it

-Law is a fantastic way to make change in the world
