point of view

setting

the graphic novel was written in first person from the prespective of Coraline who takes her audience on the adventre with her.

the setting of coraline is mostly in her new house, an old house where she doesn't have much around her since they live on an acreage i'm assuming.

coraline is a kids horror or dark fantasy book, it's not nessecairly meant to leave you with nightmares, but a little bit of fright.

protagonist

Antagonist

Coraline is the protagonist of the story, she is the little girl who discovered the other world and had to beat it's challenges.

The antagonsit of the book would be Coraline's other mother who was also referred as the beldam by the ghost children

*curious

*indapendant

*imaginative

*resourcful

the thing bout the other mother is that she would give coraline everything she wants it to seem like life in the other world is better, but that was only a way to lure her in and trick her to staying there.

Coraline

Neil Gaiman

The external conflict was a feeling or a dissuction of the other mother v. coraline. The other mother wanted Coraline to stay and when Coraline refused, she took her parents and wouldn't give them back until she could defeat the other mother in a game.

conflicts

Opinion

the internal conflict for Coraline was weher she should go back to the other world and save her parents, which must've been hard to build up the courage for

my 1-5 star rating

Coraline is an extremely welly written book and organized movie, i enjoy both of them so much although i think i like the movie more, mainly because I read the graphic novel. Although, Coraline kept me on my toes at all points of the movie, and book, and making me wanting to continue to watch/read it. I also like how the author, Gaiman, talk about being brave, never giving up on you family, making good choices and the list goes on, Coraline is definetly one of my favourites and I would definely recomend the book as well as the movie.
