Swine Reproductive Tracts
Swine reproduction is important because without pigs we would not be able to harvest products from the pig. Also people in the business of showing pigs (livestock show) would not be able to make any money.

Female swine nourish their young by giving the piglets milk from their mammary glands which lasts for about 25 days.
Weaning a piglet takes about 3 to 4 weeks on average.
Once weaned, piglets are placed in a nursery until they are about 8-10 weeks of age, The last stage known as grow-finish when pigs are fed until they reach market weight. Pigs are normally sold for meat at five to six months of age.
