There were many important events at this time such as creating stone tools, nomadic lifestyle, haunting and gathering, and the most important, Mastering fire. This was lifechanging in Paleolithic Age. Fire provided many aspects such as protection, ability to cook food, warmth, etc. Fire wasn't only for survival needs, but it soon became a way to socialize and extend their night life.
Sedentary is the new way of living by understanding agriculture and the domestication of various animals and plants. People didn’t need to move anymore. They acknowledged that if they had enough plants and soil and could build protection, there would be a life cycle where they could get food in the same place. This was lifechanging as migration stopped and communities were formed giving a new lifestyle to people.
The Iron Age saw the emergence of complex societies and empires such as the Romans and the Mauryas. Trade expanded, economies became more complex, and the environmental impact of large-scale construction and deforestation increased.
The disintegration of the Roman Empire freed Europe from the domination of a single power. Imperial monopolies provided peace and stability, but in trying to preserve the status quo they also tended to stifle experimentation and dissent. This was causing wars and problems to see who was going to be the most powerful.
The Industrial Revolution brought rapid urbanization or the movement of people to cities. Changes in farming, soaring population growth, and an ever-increasing demand for workers led masses of people to migrate from farms to cities. Almost overnight, small towns around coal or iron mines mushroomed into cities.
European exploration and colonization of the Americas, Africa, and Asia led to a global trade network, but also massive enslavement, cultural upheaval, and environmental degradation as well as deforestation.
1927 saw the first sale of commercial wind turbines, sold for a considerable sum (back then, anyway) to a group of remote US farmers. This was the first instance of renewable energy making a splash on a large, commercial scale.
Fighting and shelling had razed cities and towns across Europe, destroying bridges and railways and burning the countryside. The war also took a staggering toll on both military and civilian lives. The shortage of food, fuel, and all types of consumer products persisted and in many cases worsened after the declaration of peace. And this is not only generating problems in Europe but throughout the world.
A period of rapid economic growth, especially in the Western world and more recently in Asia. As well it has also contributed to an increase in income inequality and triggered environmental crises such as climate change and mass extinctions.
This international crisis has had a major impact on the economy, leading to recession, unemployment, and rising inequality. It has also led to a renewed focus on public health and sparked debates about economic and social systems, global cooperation, and environmental sustainability.
