Turtles

1. Turtles belong to one of the oldest reptile groups alive today.

2. Species is 200 million years old.

3. All have a built in shell and cannot escape it.

4. Turtles eat anything from beetles to jellyfish.

5. Turtles are ‘amniotes’

6. Turtles hold the record for the longest life-span

188 years!

7. Sadly 129 of the estimated 300 species are endangered
