Singapore is one of the smallest countries in Asia. It is located at the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula, about 85 miles (137 kilometres) north of the Equator.

The city of Singapore is situated in the southern portion of the main island. Over time, urbanization has blurred the differences between city and country. The settlement pattern of the city is mostly clustered and the settlement parrern of the country is Linear as it is along the Singapore rivers.

Population and Population Density

Population of Singapore is 5.607 million and it's population density is 7987.52 per people square kilometers. Singapore is one of the countries that has the highest population density.

The Area of Singapore

Singapore's area is about 719.1 square kilometers.The middle of the main island contains a number of rounded hills to the west and southwest the land is a series of low ridges, while east and southeast, the land is generally flat. The highest point of Singapore is Bukit Timah at only 166 m, while the lowest point is the Strait of Singapore which is 0 m.
