Understanding their Early Days of Life
- Paleontologists knew that snakes had evolved about 100 million years ago and could be found around the globe.
- Their appearance was extremely different from what you see today, some still had hind limbs sticking out from their bodies
- Short Answer…snakes were known to have legs!

Snakes have almost all the senses we do, with several interesting modifications in the hearing, sight and smell organs.

- Meanwhile some “lizards” started to find new ways to move around their environment

Although there was the question that remained why did snakes suddenly have a change in phenotype, suddenly they no longer looked or survived the same way as other reptiles
