Next Generation's Buses
- Enable the intelligent bus system for Macquarie university students and staff as a pilot that will carry the people from the campus to the main transport hubs.
- Second stage would be to start using the system in outer suburbs where the public transport is very inefficient. For example, taking passengers to the main train station which is always packed with cars in the morning. E.g Point Cook.
- Once the system is finalised and the logistics are clear, it can be applied on a National scale.
- We estimate that we can reduce by 90% the number of cars on the street.
