King gave his famous "I have a dream" speech supported by 250,000 demonstrators in Washington
Martin Luther King wanted to influence people by his "I have a dream". His message was about equality, freedom, justice and love.
The speech was delivered on the steps of Washington Licoln Memorial after the March on Washington, on 28th August 1963.

King had already survived an assassination attempt in the shoe section of a Harlem department store in 1958.
On 4th April, King, was staying at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis. He appeared on the balcony dressed in his trademark dark suit and tie, and he was shot.
