The United States has been battling a slow incline towards excellence in education and with the widespread use of the international PISA exam, recent findings since have not reflected positively on the U.S. education system.
Scholars argue that PISA test scores predicts a less favorable local and global economic growth and weakens our position as leading international competitors (Ripley 25). Other scholars say findings like these are more reflective of our own cultural projections than they are founded.
