I grew up with scary stories/ legends. I would often read them or see videos on them whenever I had the time. My parents have also told me many stories of ghosts and witches including many well known urban legends such as the La Llorona, but mostly stories that have happened around her pueblo

My parents sometimes tell us the legend of "La Llorona" when we get curious of what scary stories our parents grew up with. The story goes like this... "There once lived a women named Maria, she married a rich man and had two children with him. One day she saw him with another woman, filled with sorrow and rage she drowned her children and later regretted it. Now she can be found near large bodies of water crying out 'hay mis hijos/ Oh my children.' as she is searching for them.

Summary
Once an illegal immigrant boarded atrain with her boyfriend. As police went around to check on passports and identifications tthe girl panicked and in a desperate attempt to run away, she jumped from the train. she had done her hair in a single long braid that got stuck on the tracks. Her hair was ripped off her scalp along with her face, the girl managed to get to single braid road before she passed away. It is said that only males can see her and when they get closesr they realize that she has no face

Summary
Once there was a student who passed by a park on his way back to the dorms, everyday he saw a little girl on the swings all alone. after many days of just observing her, the student went up to her to speak. yet when he told his friends about it they demanded to know what she looked like, after explaining they told the student that the girl sounded a lot like the child of one of the teachers who died in a traffic accident. They told him that in the accident the girl had lost a finger, the student immediatly demanded the girl to show him and after much insisting she did. There he saw that she indeed was missing a finger, from then on he never saw her again.

There once was a girl who was waiting to meet her boyfriend near a lotus pond, seeing how a long time had passed she went seaarching for him thinking that one of them had gotten the location wrong. Instead she saw her boyfriend cheating on her with another girl, in her greif she drowned herself in the pond. Ever since then, if a guy ever heard a girl calling from the pond they should get out and never look back.
