In the beginning of the story Fish has his 13th birthday and his family has something called Savvys. It is like a power. His is making storms so they had to move. Then there Papa was in a car crash and sent to a hospital in Salina. Mibs was convinced that her Savvy was waking people from there sleep.She wanted to go to Salina and wake up her Papa.

In the middle of the book Mibs had to get to her Papa. So she got in a bus that said Salina on the front. Then Will J.R. tried to stop her but he just ended up coming in the bus with her the Bobby tried to stop them but she came with too. Then when the driver (Lester) came in the bus all the kids hid in the bus and they found Mibs brother Samson in the bus. After that she realized they were headed away from Salina. So Mibs popped out and said aren't we going to Salina.

In the end of the story he finds out they were hiding in his bus he got mad but he let them stay. After that she kept hearing voices in her head. Later she realized that waking people up is not her savvy. her savvy is hearing the thoughts of people who have ink on there skin. Later she arrived in the hospital and remembered Papa has a tattoo. She kept telling him to wake up.

I rate this book a 4/5 stars because some of it was kinda confusing
I recommend this book to people who like adventure.
