Human Values

What Are

Moral Values?

Moral values are a set of principles guiding us to evaluate what is right or wrong. They help shape the character and personality of individuals. Children are taught about it through moral stories.

Introduction

Moral values such as integrity, determination, loyalty, truthfulness, honesty, giving respect to each other etc should be inherited by every individual. As stated earlier moral values help us distinguish between what’s right and wrong, good or bad for you as well as society. So, as a result, your decision making power improves naturally.

Moral Values

Our Objective

Our main motive behind this project is to create awareness about how important moral values are in daily life. Especially among the younger generations. Minds of younger children are highly impressionable and get easily influenced by the kind of environment they grow in. Our objective is to influence their minds in a good way so that they learn the importance of moral values.

Objective

Survey

A research work can never be truly be accomplished without finding how the common public thinks. Since, it's not possible to ask each and every individual about their views, following is a survey a team member created in order to record the responses of different people to a set of questions regarding human values. The 10 little circles on the right contain the 10 questions and their responses.

Minecraft Project

Minecraft

Mine craft is a platform for people to build virtual worlds as they seem fit. We used this game to support our notion of human values more strongly. One of our team members made two minecraft worlds where she compared a world with human values to Heaven and a world without Human Values to Hell. This comparison signifies that the values present in this world are what makes this world liveable and fun. Without values, the world would become a living hell with no compassion, honesty, respect or anything. This minecraft project signifies this concept by showing heaven and hell as a place with or without values respectively. The little circle on the right contains photos for the same.

Posters

The best way to remember something is through creative representation. As a result, we made these posters to create an attractive forum for moral values where people can learn and gain awareness about how vital moral values are. These are some photos of the posters that our team members made regarding Human Values.

Website

The best and most efficient mode of sharing information now-a-days is website. With people so busy with their noses buried in their screens, we made a website that they'll be able to access from their mobile devices so that we could spread awareness about human values. The following link is for a website

made by our team member for "Human Values".

Creative

Presentation

For Creative Presentation, we conducted an activity in classes 1st and 2nd where the children had to draw one act of kindness that they did in the past month or so. This activity will make the children aware of the act of kindness they do in real life and will encourage them to do more such acts. Following photos are for the same.

Community Outreach

We wanted spread our message further outside the premises of our school. So we conducted a session in "Alankaar NGO" to make the students aware of the basic human values and how they can be practiced in real life. Throwing light on our topic, we inculcated the general human values amongst children by reciting short stories on human values such as- empathy, kindness, respect, honesty etc. An interactive session took place where children talked about all the good and bad deeds they had done. Overall serving the community made all of us feel that we did our bit. Following photo is for the same. The little circle on the right contains more pictures from the session.

Skype Session

Our honorable Principal ma'am arranged a Skype session for the students so that we could interact with the teachers and students from THACHK KEIT HIGH SCHOOL, PHU THO PROVINCE, VIETNAM. This Skype session turned out to be really helpful as we learned that how important human values are in Vietnam, do people practice it in real life or how is the lesson of Human Values inculcated in students in Vietnam. Following photos are from the same.

Our Learning

This project not only helped us spread awareness about human values, it also helped realize about the values ourselves. Because of this project, we learned how great an impact human values make on an individual's life. we learned that human values are an integral part of life. Many people sideline the importance of values but that is wrong. A place without values would just feel wrong and really lifeless. We learned that we cannot afford to neglect or sideline values. They are just too much important to be treated like that.
