What's democracy?

Where did it start?

At first, people were the ones who make the rules, not a single man.

What happened with poor people or the ones who didn't have lands?

What kind of democracy is that?

Characteristics of democracy

-Even the king had to follow rules.

-Democracy is based on a constitution.

-Most democracies are indirect, what is it?

-It's main purpose is to protect the best interests of people.

-Democracy divides its power into 3 different branches: legislative, executive and the judiciary.

-They also must follow the Constitution.
