The Germans were people who started WW2 because they were defeated in WWI and ha to pay £6,000,000. Neville Chamberlain [Britain's Prime Minister at the time] came back from Germany saying Adolf Hitler was a nice man and that war between England and Germany wouldn't happen but then Hitler turned on us and then WWII happened.

Evacuees were people that had to leave home and go somewhere else that was safe. They may never see their families again. They would have to pack their teddy, books,clothes and many more useful essentials.
THE BLITZ

The Blitz means 'Lightning War'. The Blitz was when Germany bombed the UK for 11 weeks apart from 1 day. When the Blitz happened, there would be blackouts where everyone would turn the lights off and stay quiet.
