Social revolution became the starting point of the advancement of science and technology. Science and technology drastically emerged as the people transformed from being ignorant to inventing and making changes.
Protestant Reform
On 1517, Protestant Reform began when Martin Luther published a document “Disputation on the Power of Indulgences,” contradicting the church’s teachings. It consists of 95 ideas about Christianity wherein he invited people to debate with him.
Social revolution allows them to discover their capabilities and know how necessary it is to acquire and look for new knowledge as it make changes on people's lives. If there is no social revolution that happen, what do you think is our situation now?
Science is not superior but only takes a part in giving us a picture of reality.
According to Albert Einstein, ‘science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.’ With this quote, he exposed the ignorance and arrogance of the people who consider either of one superior. He also emphasized that none of the two can stand alone as it will both be irrelevant.
Since we think only Science can give us a picture of reality, we stopped looking at the bigger picture and just rely on it. We forgot to see that we and a lot of things are also a part of it.
There is no superior in terms of giving us a picture of reality because after all, we, science, and environment, all takes a part for us to understand and see what reality really is. Science can't do it all alone.
