Who Built The First Airplane?
Sir George build the first airplane because when people saw how birds fly, they got into it and decided to build a machine/flapping wings called ornithopters. They kind of worked, because they would fly but it would not take them to where they want to go unless the wind was blowing to the way they wanted to go, but this all happened in 1783.
1: The first thing that flying objects need is air pressure. On an airplane, low air pressure flies quickly on top of the wing, while high air pressure flies slowly under the wing.
2: The Bernoulli effect is when air pushes on an airplane. It does not need as big as an Angle of Attack.
Properties of Air
Air takes up space
Air has mass, or weight
Air can be affected by heat
Air exerts pressure
Air can be compressed
Air is affected by altitude, since higher places have less air pressure.
Air cannot be seen, although it still takes up space. Like a football, you pump air into it. There is not nothing in the football, because the air makes it inflate as it takes up space.

Properties that apply to our lives
Airplanes need these properties to fly. If there wasn’t any air pressure, it would have not been held up in the air. We all breathe air too. All living air animals need air pressure to fly too. Air pressure also makes the wind blow. The weight/force due to gravity pulls down on the plane opposing the lift created by air flowing over the wing.
How Can Birds Fly?
Birds actually use their strong breast muscles to flap their wings, and with the help of the wind birds can move around way easier in the air, and can fly way much easier.
