Filipino American History Month!
Filipino American History Month is celebrated throughout the month of October! In 1991, the Filipino American National Historical Society proposed the first annual FAHM to commence October 1992. The month was chosen to celebrate the arrival of the Filipinos who landed in California on October 18, 1587. It is also the birth month of Filipino American icon, Larry Itliong. This is the month where we celebrate our Filipino roots and rich history!
