Tyler's work and educational research led him to asking questions that began to shape how we look at school, such as:

2. What educational experineces can we provide that are likely to attain these purposes?
3. How can these educational experiences be effectively organized?
4. How can the effectiveness of educational experiences be evaluated?
Tyler strongly believed that learning best happens through active behavior. Students learn best by doing, rather than what the teacher says. This mindset is very prevelent in his works such as "Basic Principles of Curriculum and Instruction".
