Helping non-literate families
makes education accessible to out-of-school youth and adults in the remote, deprived, depressed and underserved (DDU) difficult to reach communities.
Mobile Teachers are “specialized” teachers who live among the people in remote barangays of the country and conduct the BLP for illiterate out-of-school youth and adults who are willing to learn basic literacy skills and Accreditation and Equivalency (a continuing education) for those who left formal school system or have no access to schools.
The objectives of MTP are:
A. Make education accessible to out-of-school youth and adults;
B. Raise the level of literacy in the target areas;
C. Improve the quality of life of individuals and families in remote and underserved communities; and
D. Increase the cohort survival rate at the elementary/secondary level.

* In addition it is expected that livelihood and entrepreneurship training model and support network will be evolved for this education program.

ALS Accreditation and Equivalency
- formerly known as the NFE A&E Test
- Offers the test takers a certification of learning achievements at two learning levels
- Comprise standardized paper and pencil-based tests and use multiple-choice test and composition writing
- Items are based on the learning competencies of the five learning strands of ALS Curriculum
- Largely based on prior learning

- An elementary level drop out at least 11 years old
- A high school dropout at least 15 years old
- Non-passers of previous ALS A&E Tests

PARENT EDUCATION
Parent Education is an informal education
which is a life skills short-term course
that addresses the special needs and
interests of the parents to promote pride in
their work and ownership of their
responsibilities as members of the
family and their community.
The Adolescent Reproductive Health is a project
for out-of-school adolescents ages 9-24 years old.
It is a life skills-based education program for
adolescents who are in high-risky behavior,
sex-related or non-sex related behavior.
COMMUNITY LEARNING CENTERS
* The project aims to establish and strengthen community
learning centers in every barangay in collaboration with
the local government units.
* It is a repository of all reading materials & other
relevant documents to be used by the community for literacy
& continuing education.
* It is a physical space to house learning resources and
facilities & a venue for face - to – face learning activities.
* A collection of print and non-print materials, such as
books , pamphlets, recordings and films placed in a receptacle
to be circulated in target areas to serve the literacy and
continuing learning needs of prospective learners.
