My mom is my role model, she is amazing and supports me in everything I do. I am very close with her and shes always there when I need her. We have done so much together, and she has taught me lots over the years.

Place: Mexico/Cuba

I went to Mexico for the first time in 2015 , and went to Cuba in 2017. When we went to both places it was a chance to learn about their cultures and city. We visited one of the top 10 beaches in the world when we went to Cuba (Playa Pilar).

Event: Grandma's Birthday

My Grandma's birthday, was a chance to see all my aunties, uncles, and cousins! We spent the weekend at the lake, and got to get close with my cousins and family. I had lots of fun and made so many memories. My Mom's side of the family is very big and I don't get to see then that often.

The Gilbert's

The Gilbert's are my second family, they are my neighbors and best friends since kindergarten. Marley who is my age is my best friend and is always there for me. Cassie who is 12 is like the little sister I never had. We have done so much together and their parents have put up with me through all the years, I am really close with their whole family and I'm so grateful for them.

Place: Hawaii

My family went to Maui, Hawaii in February, it was an amazing trip and chance to see the island and so much wildlife! We got to see humpback whales, swam with sea turtles, and went snorkeling and saw so many different types of fish. During the trip we spent time with my family and friends (Caitie Zorn came with us!) We went to a ton of beaches, a Luau, and went to a volcano!

Grandmas Funeral

My Grandma (my Dad's Mom) passed away 2 years ago, she was very important to me. She came to all of my birthdays and all of our family events. I have so many memories of her and am very sad she passed away. She died of leukemia. Seeing her before she passed and attending her funeral was very sad. She loved butterflies, and I think of her every time I see one.

Me and my auntie are very close, and we look a lot alike. She's always there for me and is always there to talk to. I enjoy spending time with her and going to get our nails done! I can't wait to meet her baby in January.

Place: Pet Store

My dad bought a pet store last year (Pet Depot) and since I was 13 I have been able to work there and I have learned so much and taught me a lot of responsibility. I have learned about nutrition for your pets, taking care of animals, and costumer service. I love animals and enjoy getting to cuddle all the animals at our store!

Grade 8 Graduation

I am the last one in my family to graduate from elementary school. We celebrated with family. As a class we got professional pictures taken and a gift from the school, after that we got ice cream and a bunch of us came to my house and went swimming in my pool. Grad was different due to covid but I still made lots of memories.

Reflection

Journeying in faith means to put your trust in God and let him lead the way. It's an opportunity to grow a better relationship with God through praying and trusting in him. It's a journey where you can try new things and learn.

I think community means people you share common interests with. For example a church community, we all believe in that religion and share common interests. A community supports each other and encourages each other to do things. A community can be your friends, family, school, etc.
