INTRO
- We hope to use greywater to supply household appliances that do not need fresh water.
- The greywater would come from the waste of faucets, showers, and washing machenes. it would then be cleaned and sent back into the house.

Greywater can be used in places where fresh water is not necessary such as toilets and irrigation systems
- each person uses 9.1 liters to 18.8 liters of clean water every day
- 17,772 liters of water in one year
- 10 home----449,631 liters/ year

Greywater is the used water from sinks, showers, and laundry machines.
Background
- Earth’s surface is 71% water.
- only 2% of that is freshwater
- only about 0.007% of the water on the Earth is available to human beings
FILTRATION SYSTEM

- Would pass through several tanks containing layers of gravel, sand, and finely ground charcoal
- Removes large particles, small organisms, and other materials
WATER TANK
- Approx. 1520 gallons of greywater produced and 300 gallons used by 10 homes every day
- 205 cubic feet, approx. 6 feet on each side
