Cailin Russell, Gracie Peer, Marybeth Marsh, Melissa Jensen, and Christina Millikin

The Big Question

The Big Question

Does having company while being hospitalized aid in the healing process?

Problem

Problem

Staying in nursing homes is often unpleasant:

  • boring or quiet
  • lonely
  • many have been abandoned

To bring high school students and senior citizens together by spending time with them.

The Goal

The goal of the project is to meet with the residents and form positive relationships between the seniors and the students.

So What?

We believe these relationships will not only improve the quality of life for the seniors, but will also provide mentors for the students, creating a more involved community.
