1700-Present time

1700-1800

French settlers came to Illinois to to trade goods and come “save” the Native Americans.

1800-1850

New American settlers liked to live near forests and rivers,not by prairies.

1850-1890

Women and men had different roles that they played in the family life.Women would be working inside the house and men would be doing work outside.

1890-1920

Marketplaces started to become more relevant,and everyone was using them.

1920-1950

During this time period there was a lot of progress being made in Chicago,but that went on a flip side when the effects of the Great Depression kicked in.

1950-Present Time

Teenagers started to get some more attention,and grandparents started to move into elderly homes.
