Its purpose is to support American political organizations that advocates for conservative policies, ranks politicians based on their level of conservatism, and it organizes the Conservative Political Action Conference.

The ACU is concerned with what they foundations of conservative, issue such as personal liberty or freedom, foreign policy.
Oppose
The ACU opposes EPA’s attempt to use the issue of global warming to control American manufacturing. Climate science denialists and fossil fuel advocates have been given regular forums as part of the CPAC conferences in recent years. ACU has also sponsored climate science denial conferences organized by the Heartland Institute.
The FIRST STEP ACT

The first step act tries to provide for programs to help reduce the risk that prisoners will recidivist upon release from prison, and for other purposes. The First Step Act reforms the federal prison system of the United States of America, and seeks to reduce recidivism. The First Step Act expanded avenues for eligible elderly and terminally ill prisoners to get their sentences reduced by allowing for their motions to be directly filed with the courts
