A drought is when a piece of land or desert has no water or rain for a long period of time. Millions of animals which live in the desert die every year because they have no water to drink. Weather conditions don't change a lot when a drought has happens, the only conditions is just sunny when you check the weather. All you can feel in drought is the burning sun touching your skin when you go outside.
Based on research the first drought was recorded in 1864-1866. This was the first drought ever recorded around the world. Many years later another severe drought had occurred during the year 2000 and it was extended slowly to 2006. Each year the weather became hot and dry and it resulted in causing Australia another severe drought.
Droughts affect millions of farmers from water to emotions. Most animals and plants die from thirst and heat stroke because the sun is too hot and it causes so much damage to them and their lands as it creates mud cracks throughout their farms.
Humans are affected in drought by dehydration and that may lead human in dying from drought. However there has been a record showing on the website humans can die from it being too hard or thirst or hunger. In some countries for example Somalia 100 people die within 48 hours. More people die every year because of the drought. Some people die because of heat stroke.
After how long of suffering from drought do animals start to die?
It’s not sure when they start to die but they do die from heatstroke, diseases and lack on feed and water. I think animals start to die in 1 week without no food or water. Every day they become skin and bones.
Tank you everyone for listening and have a happy, merry Christmas and also have a happy new year!
