Dating videos!
Do your warm-up :)
IN-CLASS PROJECT:
Create a dating video for yourself using ASL!
Make your video fun and entertaining, as long as it's appropriate (if you have to ask if something is "appropriate" or not, it probably isn't).
Work BY YOURSELF. However, if you're not sure how to do something, ask your neighbors first. If they don't know either, then feel free to raise your hand and I'll come over to help.

What to include in your video:
Introduce yourself:
- Your name and age
- Are you deaf, hard of hearing, or hearing?
- Where do you live? (Cedar Park, Leander, Austin, Round Rock, etc)
Talk about yourself:
- 2 places you love to go
- 2 things you like to do.
- 2 things you detest doing.
- Your favorite color.
Describe your dream date:
- Pick a date and time (i.e. "next week Wednesday at 7:30 pm", or whatever suits you), and a place that you would want to go. Then, describe what you might do there (use vocabulary words from this unit).

1. A completed GLOSS sheet
- Fill out a GLOSS sheet for all of the information you will be signing in your video. Each sentence should have it's own line. When you record your video, you can read off of the sheet to make sure your grammar is perfect!
2. Uploaded video.
- You may upload the video to Google Classroom or to drive.
Class expectations:
What is expected of me?
1. Act appropriately. Any inappropriate comments or signs will result in an immediate zero on your video (this counts as a mini-project/quiz grade, so you're not gonna want that zero).
2. Be mindful of other people. You are not the only one in class, so be respectful of other people's videos and allow them to focus, even if you're not.
3. Work hard! Look, this is supposed to be a fun way to get in a quiz grade for this grading cycle. HOWEVER, if you're messing around and not getting things done, you'll be taking a 0 for this quiz grade. With that in mind, if you are focusing and working hard but you still can't quite manage to finish everything, I'll allow you some extra time to finish it outside of class.
