"Wait-a-while"

The scientific name for this plant is calamus motii. The plant has rows of large hooks or thorns spirally wrapped around the main stems. It also has long think whip-like flagella with re-curved burbs. These help them climb canopies and reach more sunlight which creates stronger more complex plants.

Stinging Tree

The stinging tree is one of Australia's most toxic plants. They're found in most of Australia's tropical rainforests. The leaves of this plant have small hairs on them that when touched can cause extreme pain for several days. There are few animals in the rainforest who are immune to the sting, such as the spotted catbird.
