Christian Teaching 1

Point 1

One Christian belief about salvation is that Jesus bore the consequences and penalty of human sin by dying on the cross. This shows that Jesus was prepared to die for all of mankind in order to repair the damage done in the relationship between man and God.

Point 2

Point 2

Another Christian belief about salvation is that this was God taking the initiative in reconciling humanity to God. Jesus is believed to be God incarnate and this clearly shows that God is taking decisive action in allowing humanity's relationship with him to be restored.
