The Prophet Muhammad he replied: was asked what type of earning was best, and “ A man’s work with his hands and every (lawful) business transaction.” Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 846
Kasb-e-Halal has a significant value in social, moral and economical system of Islam.
Lawful business has been termed as blessing of Allah Almighty. He loves and likes those people who follow the rules and regulations regarding the lawful earning and as mentioned in the Holy Quran and Sunnah.
All business employments must be based on lawful earnings. In the light of Holy Quran and Hadith, lawful earning is halal (lawful) and unlawful earning is haram (unlawful).
(i) Special Message for Believers: Allah Almighty says:
“O you who believe (in Oneness of Allah – Islamic Monotheism) Eat of lawful things which we have provided you with, and be grateful to Allah, if it is indeed He whom you worship.”
(ii) Special Message for Prophets: Allah Almighty says: “O (you) Messengers! Eat of the Tayyibat [all kinds of Halal foods which Allah has made lawful (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables, fruits, etc.] and do righteous Deeds. Verily I am all knower what you do.
There are two ways to earning...
Legal and Illegal.
LEGAL EARNING IN ISLAM means, Halal in Arabic, that which is permitted, with respect to which no restriction exists, and the doing of which Allah (SWT) has allowed.
According to (Nnader, 2008).The word Halal, as used by Arabs Muslims and non-Muslims, refers to anything that is considered permissible and lawful under religion.
However, In Islamic law, the word Halal is derived from the verb Halla “to become lawful, legal, licit, legitimate, permissible, permitted, allowable, allowed, admissible, un-prohibited, and unforbidden.”
Legal earning means: The income earned according to the instructions and the ways approved by Allah and His Prophet
And do not eat up your property among yourselves for vanities, nor use it as bait for the judges, with intent that ye may eat up wrongfully and knowingly a little of (other) people’s property.) Al baqarah, 2:188)
“O those who believe do not eat up each other's property by false means unless it is a trade with your mutual consent.” (Alnisa,3:29).
o Economic well being.
o End of exploitation.
o Economics Justice.
o Acceptance of supplication(Dua).
o Will of Allah.
