Importance
WSCC stands for Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child that allows for the collaboration between learning and health.
Schools are one of the most efficient ways to reach children to educate about health services and programs.
Children and the surrounding community all are affected by health and education and should be combined to benefit all.
The model also emphasizes the importance of the community within children

Connections
Studies show that when the basic nutrition and physical needs are met, students are shown to have higher achievement levels.
Learning and health must be aligned and work collaboratively if we wish to support students and their learning and growth.
Students have also shown that school health is not just the foundation for healthy students, but also healthy and effective schools.

The model is shown to assure alignment and collaboration between learning and health to improve children's cognitive, physical, social and emotional development.

Examples
Ensure their school is using the WSCC frameworks within their school, or incorporate the 10 components into lessons within their class.
