The grandstander bully is a shadow of the boy-hero archetype. The grandstander bully feels that he is superior to others and that he should mask his insecurities by exploiting those of others through phyisical or verbal abuse.

Examples

In the Nickelodeon series The Fairly Odd Parents from the 2000s, Francis, the bully of the protagonist's school, is the spitting image of the grandstander bully; he bullys the protagonist constantly to make himself forget about his insecuritiea and assert his perceived superiority.
