Ch. 1 quiz tomorrow
What do you need to focus on learning this unit? How knowledgeable are you when it comes to: plot, CHARACTERS, conflict, and literary terms?
What support do you need as you read?
Consider:

CONFLICT
Main Character
Kambili
There can be more than one antagonist. The antagonist can be a person, a group of people, a force (like nature), or the protagonist herself.
The foil is a character whose purpose is to serve as a contrast to

Foils are NOT always antagonists.
We will begin together and then read in
small groups or independently. Remember: Homework = any unfinished work.
Describe in detail your family or the people you live with.
Compare your family to Kambili's family. Are your parents or guardians as strict as Papa? Is Mama similar to your mother? Do you have any siblings? If so, is your relationship with them like Kambili's and Jajas?
