Prezi is a presentation based platform that allows you combine text with movement, while also adding other elements such as shapes, images, video, and more!

Choose one of the preset ones or you can create your own!

Template theme should match your topic

Make sure to name your template (upper left hand corner)

This is the main home page in your Prezi!

Make sure to always add a title

Should always be organized & visually appealing

Topic & Sub-Topic Pages

Topic Pages = the pages outlined on your title page; these are the main topics your Prezi will dive into

Sub-Topic Pages = these pages can be added into a topic page to go more in depth

If you were taking notes, think of the title page as the main bullet point or subject,

the topic pages as the main details on that subject,

and the subtopic pages as breaking down the main details further

Just like Power Point you can add text and text boxes

Click "text" right on the toolbar above your workspace

A text box will appear for you to type in or copy and paste text into

You can drag your text box larger or smaller to increase or decrease the size of your text

You can also click A- or A+ in the tool bar as well

In the toolbar you can change:

  • Text color
  • Back color of text
  • Alignment (left, right, centered)
  • Bold & italics
  • Font type
  • Add bullet points etc.

If you right click, you can choose "bring to front" or "send to back" to move the box in front or behind a shape, picture, etc.

You can move your text boxes anywhere you like

To move them, hover your mouse until you see a white cross with 4 arrows, then drag

You can add images 2 ways:

Images

Click insert above your toolbar and then click images. You then can choose one from your files.

You can click

"ctrl + c" and "ctrl + v" to copy and paste any photo from Google, a website, etc.

Video

Click insert above, then click video. Your 2 options from there are to:

Copy and paste a YouTube video link into the text box, then click insert

Insert a video you already have saved to your computer library

You can insert many features besides just adding images & videos using the media button!

Audio

Prezi allows you to add audio from a file on your computer

(15-25 seconds is ideal)

Shapes & Arrows

Shapes allows you to add shapes of all colors, that you can re-size!

Arrows allows you to add arrows and lines of all colors, that you can re-size!

Shapes & Arrows

Move these both around to create pictures, time lines, charts, etc.

Power Point

This allows you to upload a Point Point that you would like to turn into a Prezi!

This is a great way to make your Power Points more interactive & exciting!

This allows you to add animations, zooming in and out, etc. to enhance movement and flow throughout

Make sure to use the free ones (recommended ones); the ones without the lock symbol

This allows you to add fun icons that Prezi has pre-set!

Make sure the flow is correct and your topic pages are in the right order

Prezi has spell check! Take advantage of this feature!

You can also click the 3 lines in the upper left hand corner and click "save" to be sure

Prezi saves automatically like Google docs. etc.!
