INTJ - ISTJ - INTP

Personality

Type

According to the Myers-Briggs, I show signs of being an INTJ-ISTJ-INTP.

The INTJ is a problem solver who studies the world around them. I've gotten the INTJ on other tests that I've taken and have always felt like it fit the most as I do do things such as reasoning with logic.

The ISTJ likes to follow tradition and are driven to create order. I can understand the creating order, but I was surprised with the desire to follow traditions since I have a hard time understanding social norms. But I can understand the wanting to know the rules of things as I find comfort in it.

The INTP are detached observers of the world and focus on things internally. I wouldn't believe that I was a spontaneous person, but the description for INTP feels very accurate.

BIG FIVE

Big Five

Openness - Getting a 100% makes a lot of sense as I have a huge love for the arts and can't imagine my life without it. I also love being creative and imaginative, especially when it comes to art.

Conscientious - Getting 52% make sense because I tend to take school work seriously but I have my moments where I just decide to not do it because I feel like it.

Extraversion - It's not a surprise that its my lowest as I don't seek social situations.

Agreeableness - I'm surprised that its at 50% as I feel like I'm often described as somewhat heartless despite knowing that's not true. It's just situational.

Neuroticism- Surprised its not higher. I get very easily stressed at anything. Things that have happened, things that might happen, and things that are going to happen.

16 PF - INTP

16 PF

I'm surprised that I got INTP as I've taken this particular test before and always got INTJ. However, reading the description makes a lot of sense. The most realistic is the lack of interest in day-to-day activites and maintenance. If my body didn't tell me, I would probably forget to eat becasue I get to involved in what I'm thinking. Which is another thing, the constant daydreaming and thinking that I do. Another thing that really fit is the looking detached but actually friendly. I've had people ask me if I was upset when I was just thinking about something. But when it comes to new people, I keep to myself.

Manifest Content

Dream

Analysis

I was at a baby shower. My mom was pregnant but it wasn't her baby shower. I played on the Wii for a little bit, but then some masked people with guns came. My mom got shot in the stomach.

Latent Content

Latent

Content

Gun - On the defensive

Pregnancy - Experiencing a closer connection to this person

Death - Going through a significant change in your life, like your relationship.

I was on the defensive about a change, like having a younger sibling and becoming an older sibling and having to share with someone else. At the same time, I was growing closer with my mom as she was spending more time at home with me due to the pregnancy.

Reflection

Reflection

At the time of my dream, my mom was really pregnant with my younger brother. I had been an only child for 8 years and I had always wanted a younger sibling. But I was nervous about all the changes in my family and the dream analysis matches that.

Ego

The ego is the aspect of the psyche that mediates between the desires of the id and the morality of the superego in terms of reality.

Freudian Judgment

Example

I'm supposed to practice piano every day. The id tells me not to, the superego tells me not to disappoint my parents. The ego tells me to practice at least 10 minutes as a compromise.

15 Slips

1. The word kind was repeated twice. Most of the others were synonyms of successful or analytical. I disagree. I don't think I'm unkind but its a surprise that other people think so.

2. Opposite traits were Successful-Procrastinator and Determined-Indecisive. Oddly enough the positive traits were given by classmates and the negative was given by my parents. It reveals that I behave differently at school.

3.The most surprising was the kind trait. I don't consider myself rude and mean, but the word kind has such a positive connotation that I wouldn't associate with myself.

4. I thought smart would be one of the words. Analytical and Inquisitive show up but these show that I'm always think about what something could mean.

5. I think the social-cognitive theory is most valid. My family had different responsible than what my classmates said. it supports the idea that I have a personality at home and at school.

Rorschach Ink

The ink blot appears to be the face of a bear or a bear-shaped mask. It reminds me of a character from a video game that I watched as well as the Disney movie Brother Bear. Other people might see two people kneeling next to each other if the paper is turned around.

Order

Analysis

As the oldest sibling I am supposed to be responsible, diligent, structured, and an achiever.

For the most part it is true. My parents have always pushed me to do well in school, and it's reflected in the fact that I haven't ever gotten anything less than A. In group work, I'm always the one in charge of keeping the group on track.
