Calista Lahocinsky

Stimuli

Getting scared from a frightening face.

Stimuli

Sensory Nerve Fibers

Emergency signals are sent to the sensory nerve fibers and transfer it to the interneurons.

Sensory Nerve Fibers

Interneurons

Interneurons

Interneurons interperet the signal and makes the decision of what course of action to take.

Pregangolic Motor Neuron

Interneurons then send the signal to the pregangolic cells. The pregangolic cells transfers the signal to the ganglia cells.

Pregangolic Motor Neuron

Chain Ganglia/ Cranial Nerve Ganglia

The GANG-lia distributes the signal to all of the organs needed to react.

Chain Ganglia/ Cranial Nerve Ganglia

Postganglionic Motor Neuron

The postganglionic cells then recieve the emergency signal from the ganglia and transfers it to the organs.

Postganglionic Motor Neuron

Effector Organ

Various organs recieve the signal and act appropriatly.
